It’s sushi night! Time to bust out the chopsticks and roll up your sleeves because the good times are about to get rollingggg. Here’s what to serve with sushi to create an even more filling meal (without having to empty your wallet from all that sushi money)!

Creating a sushi party at home is such a fun interactive dinner if you’re making them from home. One thing I didn’t anticipate about making sushi at home though is how hungry I’d be while learning to roll!

There’s definitely a learning curve, at least for me… especially when hanger is starting to set in lol. This is something I really wish I knew the last time I made sushi lol. So it’s handy to have ready to go sushi side dishes you can pick and nibble on while you build and roll away.

And, if you’re looking to stay within a certain budget, bolstering you meal with sides helps save you some of your hard earned moolahhh! Below is a list of easy recipes ranging from condiments & small bites, to hearty meat dishes that’ll make sure you don’t go hungry by the end of the meal!

Sushi is best enjoyed fresh, especially since the rice hardens over time. Store any leftover sushi with raw fish in the fridge for up to 1-2 days max.

Serve cold seafood on ice if it is going to stay out longer than 2 hours.
